The 'Small' designation was used exclusively in its introductory appearance in Ace Combat 04: Shattered Skies. Examples of this bomb type include the American MK-82 bomb and the Russian FAB-250. Their lack of power is compensated by a plentiful ammunition pool. It has a light weight and a similarly small warhead, causing considerable damage with an impact and having a small effect radius. The small Unguided Bomb (UGBS) is the most basic bomb variant.
In the games of the series are the following types of bombs: high explosive bomb (in Ace Combat series called Un guided Bomb - UGB)), incendiary bomb (Na palm Bomb - NPB), cluster bomb (Self- Forging Fragmentation Submunitions Bomb - SFFS), thermobaric bomb (Fuel Air- Explosive Bomb - FAEB), guided bomb (Guided Penetration Bomb - GPB).
